Cut 'n Crawl

Busy, busy weekend indeed.

On Saturday, Nikki had a work function downtown, so Daddy was on his own with the little Button all day. Luckily, reinforcements in the form of Grandmum and Grandpop Spicer were due to arrive at around 1pm. Annie and I had a lot of fun before they got there, but when they did, everyone had a blast. Grandmum Spicer got to feed her a bottle within minutes of arriving, and after Annie was still hungry, Grandpop Spicer stepped up and shoveled baby yogurt for a while. When mommy got home, we were all just hanging out, and lo' and behold Annie put one knee forward, then another, then swung that first one back forward, thus officially entering the realm of CRAWLING!!! She has also started to try and stand up by clawing her way up mommy and daddy. Now, of course, it's neither graceful, nor is it done without a lot of stabilizing from us. However, she loves to do it, and she has a lot of strength and will pull herself up pretty well.

The other big thing is that we woke up on Sunday morning and Annie was a bit fussy. Aside from that, she was drooling like a river handling mountain melt off. So, I tell Nikki, "Feel her gums, maybe she's actually starting to teeth." Sure enough, you can't quite see it, but you can certainly feel it. It feels like a little barb under her gums. So, now we're constantly trying to pry open her mouth and try to see the little white bit. Of course, this makes Annie terribly happy ;)

All in all, it was a very entertaining weekend on the baby front. Annie is doing great, she's wanting to get into more and more things. We've been slowly baby proofing the apartment and getting ready for the swath of destruction, hopefully, we'll be ready!
