The baby that ate Chicago

The family trouped out to the 2nd pediatricians appointment this afternoon for a standard check up. Annie is doing great. She has a blocked tear duct, which is not out of the ordinary, and should go away on it's own. The interesting thing is that she is now 8lbs, 4 ounces. To put that in perspective, "most" babies gain about 1 oz. a day for the first few months of life. Annie's weight when leaving the hospital (not the birth weight of 7lbs.) was 6lbs/9oz.
So, Annie is now 12 days old, and so, should have gained 3/4 lbs, which should put her at 7lbs/5oz.
She's about 15 ounces heavier than that, and so has been putting on double the weight. It is, of course, obvious that she is my child ;)
The doctor is not worried, and at this stage in the game, babies cannot put on "too much" weight, so we're just trying to keep up with her and watch her grow and thrive.
